SSCBC Rally-O Sanction Match

Two All-Breed Sanctioned Rally Matches will be held at the Chilliwack Heritage Park Barn on Friday evening, May 16th, 2008 immediately following the judging of Best in Show (Auld Lang Syne Show).  The judges will be Lindsay Ibbotsen and Roland Belanger.

 SSCBC CKC Agility Trials

CKC All-Breed Agility Trials will be held in conjunction with the Victoria City Kennel Club Show at the Saanich Fairgrounds on August 9th and 10th, 2008.  To obtain an entry form please contact Anita Thomson

SSCBC Specialty Show and Obedience Trial

This annual event in the Lower Mainland is usually held in March at the Cloverdale Agriplex. The Club also holds a Bi-annual Regional Specialty Show.

Seminars

From time to time the Club offers Shetland Sheepdog related seminars either in conjunction with the Specialty Show or on independent dates at other times of the year. In 2008 a Seminar on the Sheltland Sheepdog Breed by Marilyn Marlow and Rick Thompson will be held the day after the Specialty and will be accompanied by a Continental Brunch. Check back for registration information.

Past seminars have included "A Study of the Shetland Sheepdog" by California judge, Linda J Churchill, in March  of 2002 and "Stamping the Look", a seminar on breeding programs by AKC/CKC judge, Cheryl Andersen in August of 2003.

Specialty Awards Brunch and Silent Auction

Club members meet on the Sunday following the Specialty for a fun get-together featuring a scrumptious buffet brunch, presentation of the annual club achievement awards and trophies, and a fabulous fund-raising silent auction.

SSCBC All-Breed Obedience Trials

Plan to be there. This two-day event featuring four obedience trials continues to be among the largest independent obedience trials in Canada. It is held annually at the Cloverdale Agriplex, generally the first weekend in December. All classes are offered - regular, transition and unofficial.
